Not only known as wonderful animals, the Scottish Terriers are also known for their determination and unwavering loyalty. They make fantastic companionship with their owners and add more joyness, excitement and love to our life.
They, however, have some different traits when compared with other dog breed and they are sometimes not so suitable for every family that want to adopt them. They should not be considered as pets, but more of a friend.
1. They are intelligent but also stubborn. However, they can be trained, with extra patience and effort put in.
2. Scottie does not like to be scolded or shouted at. They are so sensitive that you should treat them respectfully and friendly.
3. The Scottish Terriers can act fiecely and competitively when it comes to playing with their favourite human beings. That is why they are mostly suitable in family with mature children, not small babies.
4. Said above, Scottie are lively and energetic dogs. They have a well-developed sense of fun and mischievousness. They love to play so much that once there's a human being around, they'd make the play happen no matter what.
5. Last but fairly important, be reminded that Scotties like to have fun and play. They love to run, growl, and pounce on small, moving objects. Please mind your fingers and do not ever attempt to grab any toy that a Scottie is dead set on grabbing first. Or else, you might be accidentally bit by her, it will surely be painful.
